Campbells Muscat Rutherglen Merchant Prince Rare NV 100 $97/375ml (Country: Australia - Region: Australia)
Fleshy, voluptuous and complex, displaying a peacock's tail of flavor, with layers of peanut, almond, walnut, coffee, prune, dried cherry, spice and toasted marshmallow. Dark amber in color, this is complex and wonderful, with exquisite balance, richness, depth and length, finishing on a note of amazing finesse and delicacy for such a sweet, complex wine. Demands another sip. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 50 cases imported. –HS

2007
Dow Vintage Port 2007 100 $80 (Country: Portugal - Region: Port)
Amazing aromas of lilac, violet, crushed blueberry and mineral that turn to black pepper and spices follow through to a full-bodied, medium-sweet palate, with a long, chewy finish. Evolves to tar and asphalt. Really held back, yet powerful grip slaps you—and makes you happy. This is mind-blowing in texture. The greatest Dow ever made. Best after 2022. 6,200 cases made. –JS

2005
Château Ausone St.-Emilion 2005 100 $2,000 (Country: France - Region: Bordeaux)
I love the tobacco, berry, cigar box, toasty oak, ripe fruit and fresh mushroom flavors in this full-bodied red, which has ultralayered tannins and vanilla, new oak and berry character. Powerful and superconcentrated, with great length. This is a muscular, full-throttle wine, racing very, very fast. Best after 2019. 1,330 cases made. –JS
Château L'Evangile Pomerol 2005 100 $260 (Country: France - Region: Bordeaux)
Dark in color, almost purple black, with pure tapenade and hints of ripe plum and berry. Full-bodied, with layer upon layer of velvety tannins and chocolate, berry, vanilla and tea flavors. Lasts for minutes. I am blown away by this wine. This has been amazing since the moment I tasted it from barrel. Reminds me of the superb 1950. Best after 2015. 3,500 cases made. –JS
Château Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan 2005 100 $930 (Country: France - Region: Bordeaux)
This is incredible on the nose, showing coffee cake, blackberry, floral, coffee bean and vanilla bean, with Chinese spices. A very complex, full-bodied red, with seamless, hyperpolished tannins that caress every millimeter of the palate. Lasts for minutes. So beautifully balanced, I'm left speechless. Is it even better than the 1989? Best after 2017. 9,080 cases made. –JS
Château Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan White 2005 100 $510 (Country: France - Region: Bordeaux)
Vibrant and exciting, with intense aromas of light toasty oak, pineapple skin, lemon, gooseberry, acacia honey and peach tart. Flowers even. Full-bodied, layered and refined, with tropical fruit, honey, vanilla, cream and light toasty oak. The length is amazing. White wine doesn't get better than this. Needs a little time, but hard to leave it alone. Best after 2014. 665 cases made. –JS

I love the purity of fruit in this wine, with perfectly ripe blackberry, blueberry and raspberry on the nose. Complex and full-bodied, with hints of new oak and wonderfully polished tannins that caress the palate. Long, long finish. Schloss Schönborn Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Rheingau Erbacher Marcobrunn 2003 100 $720/375ml (Country: Germany - Region: Rheingau)
Unbelievable. Smelling like the essence of soil and stone, tasting like caramel, acacia honey and candied orange peel, this is so thick that it's almost jamlike. Yet it melts away on the palate like a puff of smoke vanishing into air. Endless, mouthcoating finish. Drink now through 2050. 7 cases made. –BS
